F.A.Q.

Depending on your size/practice, you’ll find different information on the sheets presenting our ranges directly. If you have the slightest doubt, a team of enthusiasts and practitioners is at your disposal via the website chat (blue logo) at the bottom of your screen.

The premises are located in Brittany, more precisely in Pencran in Finistère. We are located Espace Joseph Rolland – 29800 PENCRAN.

All AFS foils are manufactured in our company in Pencran, France. All AFS Advanced boards are also manufactured here. Some of our boards are made in Tunisia by Terminatech, as are our covers. Unfortunately, we haven’t yet succeeded in making this bet, but our wings are now manufactured in China, although all R&D is carried out in-house.

Unless otherwise indicated, all materials shown are in stock. Delivery takes place within 48 hours of the order being placed.

All our products are packed in reinforced cardboard boxes. We ship all over the world, with occasional shifts between private distribution, boat and plane… The whole unit is protected with various types of foam.

If the delivery has been accepted, simply create a ticket on afs-foiling.fr/demande-sav/. If you have not yet received the order, feel free to unpack the parcel in front of the carrier. In the event of the slightest impact, you can refuse the parcel – no financial charge will be applied. We have insurance for that. A new parcel will then be sent to you.

You can contact our reseller network or our ambassadors. We also organize AFS Days, where you can test all AFS equipment.

How can I contact your company if my question isn’t answered here?

You can contact us directly via the website chat where a team of passionate practitioners is on hand to answer your questions. This is the blue icon at the bottom of your screen.

Racing speed machine

Insanely fast

Greater stability

The Pure 560 is the high-performance foil
perfect for Wingfoil racing.

In development for a year, approved and validated during Weymouth Speed Week by passing the 30-knot bar over 500 m.

The more pressure you apply, the faster it goes.

This foil has been developed to achieve the perfect balance between stability, speed and angle.

The one-piece structure has been pushed to the extreme.

The front wing, fuselage and horizontal stabilizer are perfectly molded in one piece, with no visible transitions.

The 560's stability gives you the confidence to push your limits at every level.

Increased rigidity, reduced drag, all aspects working in perfect harmony.

Aspect Ratio (AR) optimized for speed

Optimal AR is a function of the wing’s lift coefficient (CL). The CL of the wing decreases as speed increases. Wings designed for maximum speeds will therefore have an AR slightly lower than wings designed primarily for gliding (e.g., Pure HA1100/HA800).

New mast

A special mast has been developed. The new mast provides greater rigidity at the connection point and improved hydrodynamic flow, further reducing drag and increasing control and speed.

Ultra Thin Chord Profile

At high speeds, the mast can contribute 15 to 20% of the total drag (depending on the mast design and flying height). We therefore wanted to make the mast as drag-free as possible while maintaining high flexural and torsional rigidity.

Fender tips designed to resist ventilation

When racing with a windward edge, the board has a large counter-heel, so the leeward wingtip is likely to come out of the water. The wing’s cross-section, twist and tips have been designed to minimize the risk of ventilation.

Adapted fuselage length

Longer fuselages allow the use of smaller stabilizers. As we lengthen the fuselage, fuselage drag increases, but as the horizontal stabilizer is smaller, horizontal stabilizer drag decreases. The length of the fuselage and the surface area of the horizontal stabilizer have therefore been optimized to give the lowest possible drag. This resulted in a fuselage some 50 mm longer than the other fuselages in the Pure range. Not only does this give the least drag, but it also provides a stable foil system that has a large trim change moment. This means the foil is less sensitive to pressure from the rider’s foot, making it easier to control in overpowered, gusty conditions.

Ultra High Modulus Carbon Construction

The rigidity of the mast, wings and fuselage is an important factor in high-speed control, so the use of UHM carbon is essential.

Monobloc structure

This minimizes interference drag between the wing, stabilizer and fuselage. The monolithic construction, combined with a new connection between mast and fuselage, ensures maximum rigidity.
